Sparks was founded in Aberdeen in 1871, and incorporated in 1976. From our earliest days, we established a solid reputation as a specialist in light engineering and electrical services.

In the first half of the 20th Century we saw an exciting opportunity to enter the refrigeration market, investing in training new specialist engineers and quickly developing into one of the UK’s most highly-skilled refrigeration companies. In 1993 this earned us the honour of becoming a recipient of the Royal Warrant, as suppliers of refrigeration to Her Majesty, The Queen.
