Benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

The RHI applies in Scotland, England and Wales, and is a payment for generating heat from renewable sources. It is administered by the official regulator Ofgem, which pays the tariffs with funds from the UK Treasury.

The tariffs are paid for 20 years from the registration date and are index-linked for inflation. They will be paid from July 2011 for non-residential systems and October 2012 for households. Any suitable systems installed from now will be eligible for the tariffs when they begin.
